Life post-brain surgery... without a guide dog.

April 5, 2024

I've spent years in search of a specific thing - "normalcy." Looking for acceptance. I'm slowly finding it, both in and outside of my community. It's been a long, hard road - fighting against biases, preconceptions, ableist- driven assumptions, stigma, and outdated terminology

Epileptic seizures used to be my norm. 12 (twelve) times a day on a bad day. The not-so-fun crash! bang! boom! Face-meet-cement deal.

So, I had brain surgery. It was a thing. Now I can stop chasing a term that never should have been created, after "achieving" forced normalization in our post-COVID Digital revolution pre-apocalyptic world of polycrises, right?
